 1. Pearly Porcelain

 (@erra.gel, @elodiesamak, @shuga.studio)

Vogue named the top cool weather nail colors to try in 2026, and mother of pearl made the cut! Experts wrote, “A subtle, pearlescent sheen brings a healthy glow to nails, blending the fun of a chrome manicure with the pared-back elegance of the ultra-popular ‘old money’ manicure.“

This shade is always a good choice for winter due to its natural frosty appearance, making it perfect for an effortless, snow-inspired aesthetic. Ivory polish with a pearl coat is recommended for this trend, though you can add subtle variation by choosing a different shade of white.

The designs featured in the center and on the right show how a change in the base color can affect the finished product, with @elodiesamak choosing a crisp white polish for a classic look while @shuga.studio opted for a creamy, warm vanilla tone. Both looks are stunning.  For a different approach, recreate @erra.gel’s look, using a soft, barely-there pearl topcoat over a traditional French pedicure.

2. Plum Punch

 (@crown_nail_salon, @kaymensbeauty, @jney.beauty)

Plum is definitely a traditional winter color, but it’s also having a big moment in 2026. Purple tones stood out during the fall and winter fashion shows earlier this year, and the experts at Editorialist named plum as a winter pedicure color to try, calling it a “rich pick for your toes.“

I think a velvet plum pedicure, like the one by @jney.beauty, is perfect for winter. However, you can’t go wrong no matter how you incorporate this color into your pedi. Both @crown_nail_salon and @kaymensbeauty opted for a solid design, creating a moody yet luxurious look. Plum-colored French tips would be just as stunning, especially when paired with a soft, creamy base color.

This color is perfect for making a statement on its own and instantly adds a wintry touch to any aesthetic or design.

3. Winter Fog

 (@yourtime_yourbeauty, @eudemonic_nail, @nail_by.jjoo)

Next up on my list of winter toe nail colors to try is a gorgeous foggy grey! Beauty editors from Manucurist stated this shade “is particularly flattering on fair to medium complexions, but also works on deeper skin tones for a contemporary effect.“

Soft and foggy, this light grey has the moody appeal of traditional winter tones but is bright enough for a refreshing finish. I love the cat-eye topcoat in the center (by @eudemonic_nail) and the subtle shimmer on the right (from @nail_by.jjoo). Both looks are ideal for a holiday-inspired look, while the classic solid grey pedicure by @yourtime_yourbeauty is a must for something simple and refined.

4. Red Muse

 (@nyxakia_mallakia, @classic.nailshop, @luz_garcia_bs)

Scarlet is perfect for winter, and in 2026, it’ll be on everyone’s radar. Brittany Davy, a writer for Who What Wear, says, “A red pedicure will literally never date, and despite its bold nature, it feels surprisingly wearable for a minimalist.“

From solid red to scarlet tips, cat-eye designs, and traditional holiday looks, scarlet is a must-wear pedicure color this winter. It’s so versatile and chic, and it’s ideal for a bright and refreshing color that still fits the vibe of the season.

I love the old-money appeal of a solid scarlet pedicure, like the one by @nyxakia_mallakia. It’s clean, classy, and works for both winter and holiday looks. The other pedicures featured here offer a more contemporary look, ranging from the alluring cat-eye design by @classic.nailshop to the understated yet playful Frenchies from @luz_garcia_bs. However, don’t be afraid to pair this bold color with even bolder toe nail designs.

5. Moody Moss

 (@nailbin_, @a.solnail, @ayu_kitabayashi)

Looking for something moody yet grounded this winter? A rich, organic moss green hue is perfect for you.

This is another winter toe nail color that made Vogue’s list of must-try nail colors, and nail artist Queenie Nguyen told Vogue fashion editors that “a velvet finish” pairs perfectly with this winter shade.

The pedicures on the left and in the center feature a modern design with jelly and milky finishes. The dark jelly design from @nailbin_ is definitely my top pick for a simple but moody look, while the middle pedi by @a.solnail is ideal for something soft and light. Ayumi opted for a marbled effect on her pedicure, creating an earthy and elegant aesthetic.

6. Mocha Moment

 (@charme.beautylounge, @arfinails, @oav_nails)

Mocha is still going strong into 2026. This gorgeous shade is rich and luxurious but subdued enough for an everyday aesthetic.

Editors at Who What Wear included mocha brown on their list of fall colors to wear, but experts predict it will stay on-trend through winter. This hue is perfect for an effortless and sophisticated look, especially when finished with chrome or a subtle shimmer, like the pedicures by @arfinails and @oav_nails.

Pair it with a matching manicure for an ultra-refined, old-money look this winter, or wear it just on your toes for a touch of seasonal beauty. Either way, you’ll be ahead of the game with a gorgeous, trendy winter pedicure.

7. Currant Trend

 (@shuga.studio, @nailsbymt_, @arfinails)

Winter berry has made In Style’s list of the top pedicure colors for winter. The editors at In Style state, “Some of the most unanimously popular tones in the winter months are in the burgundy family—deep berry, eggplant, and maroon shades—they’re luxurious and sophisticated.“ And for winter in 2026 and 2027, the shade to watch for is a gorgeous, deep, currant red.

Perfect for a dark, dramatic look that’s still effortless and sophisticated, this tone will easily elevate your cold-weather looks. I love the chrome topcoat featured on the left, while @nailsbymt_ used this color for French tips that feel clean and classy. This ultra-dark red also works well for a quiet luxury aesthetic, so lean into this trend for an old money pedicure that’s modern and chic.

8. Midnight Navy

 (@escapebylakkbarmoa, @negar_hoseyini, @lorybarrera_beauty.nails)

The last winter toe nail color is none other than midnight navy. Celebrity nail artists told experts at Editorialist what they need to know about the trending winter colors.  Nicolette Pezza, a fashion writer for Editorialist, shared all the details. She says, “You heard it here first—navy is the new black.“

This hue is cool, moody, and perfect for winter. I love the subtle holiday feel dark blue has this time of year, but it works just as well for an everyday aesthetic. Pezza recommends adding a “holographic sparkle” to this color, but even a subtle shimmer (like the sparkle @lorybarrera_beauty.nails) will elevate your pedi.

The winter pedicure colors above are gorgeous and perfect for ending 2026 in style! Which of these pedicure colors do you plan to try?
