Cute Winter Outfits for Brunch & Beyond
Putting together cute winter outfits doesn’t have to be hard! Below, you’ll find the outfits that I reach for in the winter months when I want to look chic and effortless while keeping warm.
I love to throw on a pair of jeans and a cozy knit sweater, then elevate with stylish layers and accessories. The outfits below are perfect if you’re heading to a winter brunch, coffee date, dinner, or any other occasion where you want to look cool but feel warm.
Puffer coat, heeled boots + jeans.

A puffer jacket is an essential in anyone’s winter wardrobe. When I want to be warm (but cute), I reach for this Quince Down Puffer Jacket — an Aritzia Supper Puff dupe – to do the trick.
Here, I’ve styled it with my vintage Re/Done jeans and a staple black knit for a warm yet fashionable base layer. Pointed-toe boots and a black leather pouch bag elevate this otherwise casual look, making it an ideal option for brunch, getting coffee, or even a spontaneous date night.
Quilted jacket, knit top + Chelsea boots.
get the look:
This is another cute winter outfit to rock when the weather is warmer. Start with must-have winter staples like jeans and a lightweight sweater, then build from there. A quilted jacket is the perfect chic outerwear piece and Chelsea boots complement the entire look.
Leggings, long coat + sneakers.
get the look:
I love reaching for leggings on chilly winter days. Yes, they’re ultra-comfy, but they also make for a cute winter outfit when paired with a stylish sweatshirt, long socks, and trendy New Balance sneakers.
In the cold winter months, I’d finish the look with a warm beanie, a long puffer coat, and my Lululemon fleece bag, the perfect winter accessory, in my opinion.
Hoodie, jeans + uggs.
get the look:
I’m in love with this cozy casual outfit. The outfit above would be my go-to for a laid-back Sunday brunch or a day of shopping and running errands. The quilted jacket and straight-leg jeans combo is elegant and timeless, while the Anine Bing hoodie, teddy tote, and Tasman Dupe Slippers (from Quince as well) add a cool girl aesthetic.
Cream with black accessories.
get the look:
If you’re hesitant about wearing white in winter, I recommend sticking to ecru and ivory shades rather than stark whites. In this look, I’ve partnered a cozy ivory knit with cream barrel-leg jeans (one of 2024’s biggest anticipated trends) that add a cool edge to the outfit. I’ve chosen Chelsea boots, a leather jacket, and coordinating black accessories for some contrast.
This look is perfect for warmer winter weather when it’s not too frosty. But for added warmth when it’s freezing cold, throw on a scarf, gloves, and a thicker coat.
A matching sweatsuit set.
get the look:
A matching sweat set is the comfiest way to stay cozy and cute all winter long, in my opinion. The matching separates automatically look put-together but feel even more sophisticated when layered with a stylish wool coat and luxe accessories. You can’t go wrong with a neutral color palette, but feel free to add a pop of color with your scarf, like this mohair one from Acne Studios, or sneakers.
This sporty chic look is one you’ll find me in on winter’s coldest days. I would wear this to the grocery store, on a coffee run, or working from home since it’s so comfy.
Brunch Outfits for Winter
On the hunt for brunch outfits to wear this winter? I’ve created some casual yet chic looks you’ll love!
Teddy coat + barrel leg jeans.
get the look:
Heading to a weekend brunch? I love this casual daytime look for women. The simple black turtleneck is a winter wardrobe staple and looks ultra-modern paired with white barrel-leg jeans, a style you can expect to see everywhere in 2024. Though, you can recreate this look with any pair of off-white jeans.
The brown teddy coat and Ugg slippers have a cozy feel that I love and look gorgeous paired with chic sunnies and a checked scarf (if you don’t have the budget for the Acne scarf, try these Acne Studios scarf dupes).
Long coat, jeans + ankle boots.
get the look:
This is a brunch outfit I’d wear in the winter when I need to quickly throw an outfit together that I know I’ll feel confident in. While this look is made up of simple pieces like vintage jeans and a cream sweater, it has a refined quality that’s effortlessly chic.
My long camel coat never fails to add a gorgeous, model-off-duty aesthetic to an outfit. And a pair of sleek ankle boots easily dress it up.
Denim skirt, turtleneck + knee boots.
get the look:
My next winter outfit is casual enough to wear on those weekend brunch or cafe trips but also has a high-fashion feel that could just as easily be worn to dinner or date night. To recreate this look, pair a classic striped or neutral turtleneck with a denim midi skirt. And don’t forget a long wool coat for a fashionable yet functional touch.
Knee-high boots look best with this outfit and help to keep your legs warm in winter!
Cozy layers.
get the look:
My next winter brunch outfit is an easy, stylish option for laid-back girls who want to feel comfortable and cute. You can’t go wrong with a sweater and jeans base, which I’ve styled here by tucking a looser-fit gray knit into my Agolde Cooper Cargo jeans (size down in these!).
What I love most about this look are the cozy chic layers. I started with my camel coat and tied a cable-knit sweater around my shoulder to give the outfit more depth and interest. Depending on the weather, you can layer even further with a chunky scarf or thermal layer underneath the sweater.
Wool coat, dark denim + sneakers.
get the look:
I love this look for brunch—or any other winter occasion where you want to look fantastic. Dark wash jeans elevate even the most casual of outfits and look gorgeous paired with an ivory sweater for a bit of contrast. The deep brown shade of the coat adds a ‘quiet luxury’ vibe to the whole outfit, all while playing into the chocolate color trend.
The Adidas Sambas add to the casual look of this outfit, but you could easily swap them for ballet flats, loafers, or ankle boots.
Silk skirt, sweater + boots.
get the look:
This winter brunch outfit is easy to throw together but has an elegant look I absolutely love. I’d wear it for a fancier holiday or Christmas brunch!
The silk midi skirt adds a beautiful texture to the outfit, while the gray knit brings a cozy element perfect for chilly days. These sleek ankle boots keep this look sophisticated, but if it’s colder out, swap them for a pair of knee boots.
Striped sweater + loafers.
get the look:
In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with an outfit like this! Straight-leg jeans and a striped knit are two classic closet pieces that look effortlessly chic together. To keep it comfortable and casual enough for weekend activities, I’d finish the ensemble with a cozy coat and chunky loafers.
Change the wool coat for a leather jacket to make it more suitable for warmer winter weather. You can also pair the jeans with a striped long-sleeve top for a similar look.
Statement jacket, jeans + boots.
get the look:
When the weather is cold enough that you have to wear a coat, make it the statement piece of your outfit. This Toteme Scarf Jacket is the star of the show (or check out this affordable look-alike from Quince). The luxe wool fabric and built-in scarf keep me warm and stylish going to and from brunch.
You can recreate this winter outfit with any statement coat—or jacket if the weather isn’t too cold. Pair it with your favorite jeans, black ankle boots, and a slouchy tote bag for an effortlessly chic look.
All the neutrals.
get the look:
If your weekend brunch plans involve shopping or exploring the city after getting a bite to eat, a casual yet chic outfit like this is an ideal option, in my opinion.
The leather aviator jacket is the ultimate cool-girl piece I’d reach for to keep me warm and stylish. Adding in dark brown accessories in the form of ankle boots and a shoulder bag complements the neutral tones of the outfit, bringing the whole look together.
I hope you have thoroughly enjoyed this list of cool winter outfits for brunch and beyond! Which would you wear first?!
